The Central Baptist Church is a progressive and innovative church family with a theme of “Reclaiming Our Families Through Patience, Perseverance, and Prayer.”  We have a myriad of talents and gifts within our church body.  We believe in the holistic approach to ministry, and we have over forty ministries to help the total person.  Our church family is friendly and faithful…and truly the Favor of God is upon us.  We are excited about the vision that God has placed upon the ministry of this church.  God never gives a vision without making provisions!

UPCOMING EVENTS: Sunday, December 17th, 4:00 p.m. - Deacon's Ordination; Monday, December 18th, 6:00 p.m. - Joint Deacons and Trustees Meeting; Wednesday, December 20th, 6:00 p.m. - Church Conference; Sponsors for Christmas at Central are asked to deliver gifts to the church by Friday, December 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 23rd from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m; Christmas at Central will be held on Sunday, December 24th following our 11:00 a.m. worship service; Sunday, December 31st - 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services, Baptism and the right hand of fellowship at 5:45 p.m., Watch Night Service - 7:00 p.m.

The Central Baptist Church traditionally lifts a holiday love offering for our pastor. We will lift the love offering on the 3rd Sunday, December 17th, during the 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Love offering envelopes are in the back of each pew.

Our Christmas Concert entitled "In A Manager Low" will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 6:00 p.m. Rehearsals will be held on Thursdays at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary.

All individuals who are signed up to work the Transition Homeless Center, Central is still volunteering. We are working the 6:30 a.m. and the 11:30 a.m. shifts. If you would like to volunteer, Central Baptist Church will serve the 1st Saturday of each month. Please contact Deaconess Lou Ella Williams if you are interested in volunteering on one of these dates. Thank you.

Our Couple's Retreat will be held on Friday, February 9th - Sunday, February 11th at the Courtyard Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. The cost is $325.00 per couple. A sign-up sheet and more information are available in the vestibule.

Sponsors for Christmas at Central are asked to deliver gifts to the church by Friday, December 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The Girl Scouts are now registering for enrollment for ages K-5 thru 12th grade. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Interested girls and their parents can contact the church office or Andrena Scott for more information.

Noon Day and Evening Bible study - Wednesdays' at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.

The vision statement for Central Baptist Church is...."To Make Disciples of Jesus Christ Through Equipping, Encouraging, Empowering and Evangelizing."

The new Honor Roll Recognition Guidelines are as follows: All students in grades 1 - 12 must submit copies of report cards by the requested deadline. All students submitting report cards must also attach a Youth Ministry Participation Form to demonstrate that they are actively participating in a ministry.

The Veteran's Ministry is available to meet on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Help is available for VA matters for all male and female veterans as well as their family members. Contact the church office to schedule an appointment.

Pastor Ezell sends out a devotional message on a weekly basis via our phone tree messenger system. If you would like to receive this message, call the church to ensure that we have the correct telephone number.

Central Baptist Transportation Ministry is in need of drivers. If you are a member and have an interest in joining our Transportation Ministry, please call the church office to submit your name.

Central Baptist members are asked to submit their email address to the church office by forwarding an email to the church's email address @ info@centralbaptistcolumbia.org. Our goal is to get information out to the church family quickly by using all available technology.

Auxiliaries/Ministries desiring to have upcoming events announced must submit information to the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
