The Central Baptist Church is a progressive and innovative church family with a theme of “Reclaiming Our Families Through Patience, Perseverance, and Prayer.”  We have a myriad of talents and gifts within our church body.  We believe in the holistic approach to ministry, and we have over forty ministries to help the total person.  Our church family is friendly and faithful…and truly the Favor of God is upon us.  We are excited about the vision that God has placed upon the ministry of this church.  God never gives a vision without making provisions!

Central Baptist Church Summer Enrichment Program will begin on June 10, 2019 and will run through August 16, 2019. The hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The cost is $75.00 per child with a $50.00 nonrefundable registration fee. You may retrieve an application by logging onto www.centralbaptistcolumbia.org and click on the link on the front. Don't hesitate! Reserve your child's spot today. Space is limited!

April 21, 2019: Sermon Topic: "Fake News"; Scripture Reference John 20:1-10

The Central Baptist Church Family celebrates our pastor’s 22nd Pastoral Anniversary on Sunday, April 21, 2019 during our 8:00 am and 11:00 am worship services. Love offering envelopes can be found in the back of each pew.

Pastor Ezell will preach at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cayce, SC on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00 p. m. The United Voices will accompany the pastor.

Pastor Ezell will preach at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church for their 151st Church Anniversary on Sunday, April 28th at 2:30 p. m. The United Voices will accompany the pastor.

Baptism and the right hand of fellowship will be held on Sunday April 28th, 5:45 p. m.

Our Easter Program entitled “He Got Up” will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 4:00 p. m.

The Women’s Day committee will be taking orders for t-shirts, tote bags and registration for the luncheon after worship services.

The Women’s Day Luncheon & Hat Fashion Show Extravaganza (“But That Hat Tho”) will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 am. Anyone interested in modeling a hat is asked to sign up in the vestibule. Our speaker for the hour will be Rev. Veronica Baily, pastor of New Samaritan Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. The cost of the luncheon is as follows: Ages- Youth to 18 – Free; Ages- 19 – 64 - $20.00; Ages- 65 & Up - $10.00. Please register in advance so that we can get a head count.

The Women’s Day Committee will be collecting items for the residents of Allen/Benedict Court and Toby’s Place (a shelter for Women & Children). A number of individuals are still in hotels and are unable to prepare meals. Please provide food items as well as laundry items from the shopping list located in the vestibule. All items can place in the bins that are located in the vestibule and the rear entrance of the church.

2019 Women's Day Activities: The 2019 Women’s Day Ministry is sponsoring a trip to the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, Ga. The date of the trip is Saturday, April 27th. The cost of the trip is $65.00 per person. This price also includes the ticket to get into the convention center. You may sign up in the vestibule or you may pay online through givelify. If you use givelify, please select other and under the memo section, type Atlanta trip. Once you sign up and pay, the fee is nonrefundable.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.

The Central Baptist Church Male Chorus invites all interested members to join the male chorus ministry. Rehearsals are held every 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Deacon Willie Bryant.

Please contact the church office if you do not know who your assigned deacon is. We want to make certain that every member is in contact with their deacon.

Central Baptist Church recently organized a Young Adult Choir for ages 18 and above. Those desiring membership are asked to call the church office to sign up.

The Veteran's Ministry is available to meet on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Help is available for VA matters for all male and female veterans as well as their family members. Contact the church office to schedule an appointment.

Pastor Ezell sends out a devotional message on a weekly basis via our phone tree messenger system. If you would like to receive this message, call the church to ensure that we have the correct telephone number.

Central Baptist Transportation Ministry is in need of drivers. If you are a member and have an interest in joining our Transportation Ministry, please call the church office to submit your name.

Central Baptist members are asked to submit their email address to the church office by forwarding an email to the church's email address @ info@centralbaptistcolumbia.org. Our goal is to get information out to the church family quickly by using all available technology.

Auxiliaries/Ministries desiring to have upcoming events announced must submit information to the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
