The Central Baptist Church is a progressive and innovative church family with a theme of “Reclaiming Our Families Through Patience, Perseverance, and Prayer.”  We have a myriad of talents and gifts within our church body.  We believe in the holistic approach to ministry, and we have over forty ministries to help the total person.  Our church family is friendly and faithful…and truly the Favor of God is upon us.  We are excited about the vision that God has placed upon the ministry of this church.  God never gives a vision without making provisions!


Pastor Ezell will preach at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, March 25th at 3:00 p.m. The United Voices will accompany the pastor.

The 2nd marking period honor roll recognition will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. All honor roll recipients are asked to be present to receive their awards.

Central Baptist Church Holy Week Services will begin on Monday, March 26th – Thursday, March 29th. Praise and Worship will begin at 7:00 pm nightly. The following choirs will render music. Yancy Martin, St. Mark Baptist Church, Bishopville, S.C. The United Voices.

The Women’s Day Committee will host a Family & Friends Day of Line Dancing in the Family Life Center on Saturday, April 14th, 9:00am-11:00 am. There is a $5.00 donation per person. Please sign up in the vestibule.

The Central Baptist Church Easter program will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 5:00pm. The Easter program will feature recitations, monologues, the youth choir and the Vessels of Inspiration Dance Ministry. Please contact Deaconess Yvette Taylor or Courtland Thomas for more information.

Pastor Ezell will meet with the Youth Advisory committee members on next Saturday, March 17th, at 10:00 am.

The Women’s Builders of Faith “Prayer Hour” will be held on Saturday, March 17th, from 9:00 am-11:00 am.

All individuals who are signed up to work the Transition Homeless Center, Central is still volunteering. We are working the 6:30 a.m. and the 11:30 a.m. shifts. If you would like to volunteer, Central Baptist Church will serve the 1st Saturday of each month. The Girl Scouts are now registering for enrollment for ages K-5 thru 12th grade. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Interested girls and their parents can contact the church office or Andrena Scott for more information.

Noon Day and Evening Bible study - Wednesdays' at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.

The Central Baptist Church Male Chorus invites all interested members to join the male chorus ministry. Rehearsals are held every 4th Thursday evening of the month at 6:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Deacon Willie Bryant.

The Media Ministry is seeking new members. Please sign-up at the media booth at the end of the 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.

The new Honor Roll Recognition Guidelines are as follows: All students in grades 1 - 12 must submit copies of report cards by the requested deadline. All students submitting report cards must also attach a Youth Ministry Participation Form to demonstrate that they are actively participating in a ministry.

Central Baptist Church recently organized a Young Adult Choir for ages 18 and above. Those desiring membership are asked to call the church office to sign up.

The Veteran's Ministry is available to meet on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Help is available for VA matters for all male and female veterans as well as their family members. Contact the church office to schedule an appointment.

Pastor Ezell sends out a devotional message on a weekly basis via our phone tree messenger system. If you would like to receive this message, call the church to ensure that we have the correct telephone number.

Central Baptist Transportation Ministry is in need of drivers. If you are a member and have an interest in joining our Transportation Ministry, please call the church office to submit your name.

Central Baptist members are asked to submit their email address to the church office by forwarding an email to the church's email address @ info@centralbaptistcolumbia.org. Our goal is to get information out to the church family quickly by using all available technology.

Auxiliaries/Ministries desiring to have upcoming events announced must submit information to the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
