The Central Baptist Church is a progressive and innovative church family with a theme of “Reclaiming Our Families Through Patience, Perseverance, and Prayer.”  We have a myriad of talents and gifts within our church body.  We believe in the holistic approach to ministry, and we have over forty ministries to help the total person.  Our church family is friendly and faithful…and truly the Favor of God is upon us.  We are excited about the vision that God has placed upon the ministry of this church.  God never gives a vision without making provisions!


Report Cards for the 2nd marking period are now due. Please place your copy along with the ministry participation form in the academic mailbox located in Room 104 no later than Tuesday, February 26th, at 5:00 pm. Participation forms are located in both entrances of the church or you may download the form from our website at www.centralbaptistcolumbia.org

Our annual Black History worship service will be held on next Sunday, February 24th. All members are asked to dress in African attire.

The Church Office will be closed on Monday, February 18th in observance of President’s Day.

Practice for the Black History program participants for the 11:00 a.m. worship service for the 4th Sunday will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. You MUST attend PRACTICE in order to be on the program for the 4th Sunday.

Couples Ministry Upcoming Events: The Couples Ministry will host a workshop focusing on "Marital Distractions" on Saturday, Feb. 16th from 9:00-1:30 pm in the Family Life Center. Rev Jimmy and Verdell Duggan will be the speakers. The cost is $40 per couple which includes a continental breakfast, catered lunch and workshop materials. Please sign-up in the vestibule. Payment is due by Feb. 10th.; SAVE THE DATE: Married Couples Cruise to Jamaica - Feb. 3rd-8th, 2020.

“OUR VOICES” “Our Voices” is an integrated approach to the learning and presentation of our history. The entire church, from youth, young adult to seniors will be involved in our African American History Celebration this year, culminating with our 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Please sign up in the vestibule for your part in the program.

The Digital Mobile Mammography Van has scheduled ONE screening at Central Baptist Church for the year of 2019. The scheduled date is Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 beginning at 8:00 am. You may begin registering by calling 803-296-8888 or you may register on line @ palmetto/health.org/breast center.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.

If you would like to serve on the Public Relations Ministry, please call the church office to give your name.

All young adults (ages 18 to 35 years of age) are encouraged to come out and support our Young Adult Sunday School Program. Class will be held each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in Room 102. It will be an interactive and exciting time of exploring God's Word. We hope to see you there!!!

The Central Baptist Church Male Chorus invites all interested members to join the male chorus ministry. Rehearsals are held every 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Deacon Willie Bryant.

Central Baptist Church recently organized a Young Adult Choir for ages 18 and above. Those desiring membership are asked to call the church office to sign up.

The Veteran's Ministry is available to meet on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Help is available for VA matters for all male and female veterans as well as their family members. Contact the church office to schedule an appointment.

Pastor Ezell sends out a devotional message on a weekly basis via our phone tree messenger system. If you would like to receive this message, call the church to ensure that we have the correct telephone number.

Central Baptist Transportation Ministry is in need of drivers. If you are a member and have an interest in joining our Transportation Ministry, please call the church office to submit your name.

Central Baptist members are asked to submit their email address to the church office by forwarding an email to the church's email address @ info@centralbaptistcolumbia.org. Our goal is to get information out to the church family quickly by using all available technology.

Auxiliaries/Ministries desiring to have upcoming events announced must submit information to the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
