The Central Baptist Church is a progressive and innovative church family with a theme of “Reclaiming Our Families Through Patience, Perseverance, and Prayer.”  We have a myriad of talents and gifts within our church body.  We believe in the holistic approach to ministry, and we have over forty ministries to help the total person.  Our church family is friendly and faithful…and truly the Favor of God is upon us.  We are excited about the vision that God has placed upon the ministry of this church.  God never gives a vision without making provisions!


Vacation Bible School 2017 will be held June 5th - 9th from 6 to 8pm. "I've Got Talent - Showcasing our talent for Jesus" Part II is a fast paced and fun-filled Bible program. Vacation Bible School classes are available for all ages, including adults. Refreshments will be served.

The Central Baptist Church Summer Enrichment Program is now accepting applications. The program will operate from June 5th – August 18th, for ages 3 to 13. The hours of operation are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 and the weekly fee is $75.00 per child. Applications are available online via the church’s website and the church office. Don't delay!

The Women’s Day Celebration will be held on Sunday, May 28th during the 8:00 & 11:00 a.m. worship services. Our theme is "Christian Women Inspiring Change through Patience, Perseverance and Prayer. Our scripture reference is: Romans 12:1-2. The colors are all white with lime green corsages. All women are asked to give a spiritual donation of $100.00. If you have not received your corsage, they will be available for purchase after both worship services. Our speaker is Rev. Lorraine Martin Anderson.

The Women’s Day choir rehearsal will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.

The Girl Scouts will tour Memphis, Tennessee on July 8th - 11th. A deposit is now due and a limited number of seats are available. For more information, contact Andrena Scott @ 803-786-4512.

All 2017 high school graduates are asked to call the church office to list their names and contact information.

The Veteran's Ministry is available to meet on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Help is available for VA matters for all male and female veterans as well as their family members. Contact the church office to schedule an appointment.

Pastor Ezell sends out a devotional message on a weekly basis via our phone tree messenger system. If you would like to receive this message, call the church to ensure that we have the correct telephone number.

Central Baptist Transportation Ministry is in need of drivers. If you are a member and have an interest in joining our Transportation Ministry, please call the church office to submit your name.

Central Baptist members are asked to submit their email address to the church office by forwarding an email to the church's email address @ info@centralbaptistcolumbia.org. Our goal is to get information out to the church family quickly by using all available technology.

Auxiliaries/Ministries desiring to have upcoming events announced must submit information to the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
